The Knights of Columbus founding principle of Charity compels their members to serve people in need. And through their principle of Unity, charitable giving is amplified. Knights of Columbus sets the bar for what it means to be “First in Faith and Charity”. The Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. His example of charity, evangelization and empowerment of Catholic men continues to guide Knights of Columbus around the world.
